Beth Balaban is a documentary filmmaker in the Boston area. She studied graphic design before earning a B.A. in psychology and philosophy from Boston University in 2007. Beth is currently an associate producer and an assistant editor at Principle Pictures, a documentary production company that produced the award winning film Beyond Belief. Although her previous personal work has included mostly short fiction films and narrative writing, her current project, Peace and the Quiet, is a long-form documentary. With it, she endeavors to combat cynicism and perceived powerlessness in the collective American psyche by inspiring individuals with the story of the practical saint. The film will be completed as a partial requirement for the fulfillment of her M.F.A. in Media Arts from Emerson College.
Eric Gulliver is a graduate of Emerson College with a B.A. in Video Production. He is a freelance editor and graphic designer around the Boston area. In between media projects, Eric provides graphic design to local and international campaigns. He has completed both digital and print designs for ITISAPARTHEID.ORG, Stop the Wall, and Addameer – Fifteen of such prints have been inducted into the Palestinian Poster Project Archives. Eric is the cinematographer for Peace and the Quiet. This project, like his other efforts, is a continuation of Eric’s encouragement of non-violence, social justice, and human rights.
